Writers don't always have WiFi. You're on a plane with three hours and zero distractions. You're at a cabin in the mountains with nothing but coffee and a deadline. You're in a cafe where the WiFi just dropped.

Starting today, Novvler works offline. Open a project once while connected, and your entire manuscript — every chapter, every scene, every character sheet — is cached locally on your device. Go offline, and it's all still there. Write, edit, rearrange. When you reconnect, everything syncs automatically.

How It Works

There's nothing to turn on. No "download for offline" button. It just works:

Open your project while online. Behind the scenes, Novvler caches every card in your project — chapters, sections, characters, settings, plot ideas, research notes — all of it.
Go offline. Close your laptop, board the plane, drive to the cabin. When you open Novvler again without internet, your project loads from the local cache.
Write normally. Edit chapters, update synopses, rearrange scenes. Your changes are saved locally and queued for sync.
Reconnect. When WiFi comes back, Novvler automatically replays your queued changes to the server. You'll see a brief banner confirming "X changes synced."

AI features (Orca and Narwhal) require an internet connection since they run on our servers. But everything you need to write works offline.
